AGING IN PALMAS: NOTIFIABLE PLUG OF VIOLENCE AS AN IMPORTANT INSTRUMENT FOR COMBATING VIOLENCE AGAINST THE ELDERLY PERSON

The present paper reports the results of research carried out within the graduate program in Human Rights and Provision of the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT), the Escola Superior da Magistratura Tocantinense (Esmat) and Extension program "University of Maturity ' (UFT/UMA) about the aging process in the State of Tocantins, in particular, the situation of violence faced by the elderly population in the city of Palmas. This way, the investigation sought to analyze the compulsory notification of violence against the old person by health services in capital from 2009 to 2015 data extracted from the Compulsory Notification sheet of violence (Sinan). The research assessed the compulsory notification sheet of violence as an important instrument for combating violence and, consequently, significant implications on protection and promotion of human rights of old were revealed over the course of the investigation. Thus, the survey identified, in a first approximation, the underreporting and its possible causes, among them the lack of knowledge about the importance of filling the bureaucratization of SINAN, the fill Plug and fragmentation of work processes within the teams in the public service.
