Resumo: The present work has as main objective to analyze how coworking spaces impact the engagement and collaborative capacity of individuals, and to understand which elements present in these environments are responsible for this impact. Having as a reference the qualitative methodology of multiple case study, based on interviews with entrepreneurs in different spaces connected to large corporations based in the city of São Paulo (Brazil), the content analysis technique was adopted for this proposed investigation. Thus, the study focuses on a specific type of spaces that meet the interests of these organizations and their open innovation programs, based on the concepts of adhocracy and holocracy (as opposed to hierarchy and bureaucracy) consolidated in the Theory of Organizations and exploring the application of these TO concepts in the light of the concepts and practices of Innovation Management, the theme in which the coworking spaces are inserted. As a result, there are evidences that some specific factors present in coworking spaces, such as the use of technologies for collaboration and the presence of coffee shops and other living areas, would be responsible for engaging and facilitating the collaborative capacity of individuals, who they say they feel more inspired, dedicated and with clear evidence that the fact of being there with their respective startups facilitated the formation of alliances and partnerships, in addition to helping to reduce the hierarchy in their quotidian. By the end, a possible discovery or “finding”, resulting from the approach adopted here, shows how important this type of initiative promoted by big company that sponsors these coworkings, but brings up a reflection that needs to be better investigated in future projects: How can the excessive interference of the large organization in relation to the “resident” entrepreneurs in these spaces harm the innovative businesses created by them?

Having as a reference the qualitative methodology of multiple case study, based on interviews with entrepreneurs in different spaces connected to large corporations based in the city of São Paulo (Brazil), the content analysis technique was adopted for this proposed investigation. By the end, a possible discovery or “finding”, resulting from the approach adopted here, shows how important this type of initiative promoted by big company that sponsors these coworkings, but brings up a reflection that needs to be better investigated in future projects: How can the excessive interference of the large organization in relation to the “resident” entrepreneurs in these spaces harm the innovative businesses created by them?O presente trabalho tem como principal objetivo analisar como os espaços de coworking impactam o engajamento e a capacidade colaborativa dos indivíduos, e entender quais elementos presentes nestes ambientes, são os responsáveis por este impacto. No. of bitstreams: 1 Fabrício Saad Duarte.pdf: 1517413 bytes, checksum: 3d494957c03660f56f9a63fec98bbdb6 (MD5)Approved for entry into archive by Adriana Alves Rodrigues (aalves@espm.br) on 2020-11-10T17:14:19Z (GMT) No. of bitstreams: 1 Fabrício Saad Duarte.pdf: 1517413 bytes, checksum: 3d494957c03660f56f9a63fec98bbdb6 (MD5)Approved for entry into archive by Adriana Alves Rodrigues (aalves@espm.br) on 2020-11-10T17:14:27Z (GMT) No. of bitstreams: 1 Fabrício Saad Duarte.pdf: 1517413 bytes, checksum: 3d494957c03660f56f9a63fec98bbdb6 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2020-11-10T18:10:06Z (GMT).
