Resumo: In 2010, bulk fill resins appeared in Brazil, being marketed in two viscosities: paste or fluid. Bulk fill resins exhibit similar qualities to conventional ones, such as tensile strength and marginal fit, but disagree with the implantation technique and polymerization aspects. To verify the importance of demonstrating, comparatively, the benefits and advantages of bulk fill composite resins in the restoration process, in detriment to the use of conventional composite resins. This bibliographical study describes the benefits of using bulk fill resins compared to traditional composite resins. In the studies chosen for analysis there was an evaluation of Composite Resins of the bulk fill type (RCBF), which are suggested for the restoration of posterior dental elements, and indicate color stability, chemical and mechanical strength. The use of bulk fill resins allows the traditional incrementing technique to be put aside, allowing the application of increments of 5 mm in thickness in the restoration, instead of 2 mm of conventional composite resins, reducing clinical time. However, further longitudinal studies are needed to analyze the stability of its long-term properties.

Sustenere Publishing2021-11-11info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://sustenere.inf.br/index.php/sciresalutis/article/view/647910.6008/CBPC2236-9600.2022.001.0038Scire Salutis; Vol. 12 No. 1 (2022): Scire Salutis - Out, Nov, Dez 2021, Jan 2022; 351-360Scire Salutis; Vol. 12 Núm. 1 (2022): Scire Salutis - Out, Nov, Dez 2021, Jan 2022; 351-360Scire Salutis; v. 12 n. 1 (2022): Scire Salutis - Out, Nov, Dez 2021, Jan 2022; 351-3602236-9600reponame:Scire Salutisinstname:Companhia Brasileira de Produção Científica (CBPC)instacron:ESSporenghttps://sustenere.inf.br/index.php/sciresalutis/article/view/6479/3527https://sustenere.inf.br/index.php/sciresalutis/article/view/6479/3526Copyright (c) 2021 Scire Salutishttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSilva, Gessica Karolainy Pires Reis, Geislla GomesOliveira, Luis Augusto Peres de 2023-01-04T20:16:22Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/6479Revistahttps://sustenere.co/index.php/sciresalutisONGhttps://sustenere.co/index.php/sciresalutis/oai||carlos@arvore.org.br2236-96002236-9600opendoar:2023-01-04T20:16:22Scire Salutis - Companhia Brasileira de Produção Científica (CBPC)false
