Resumo: The aim of this research was to analyze fatigue from its multidimensional stressful aspects that affect professionals in intensive care environments. To this end, the study was conducted in two stages. The first, an integrative review where a theoretical essay on the conception of fatigue was developed from the 9 selected studies; the second was a bibliometric study of 28 international publications using the VOSviewer software. The second was a bibliometric study of 28 international publications, using the VOSviewer software. As a discussion, the multidimensionality of fatigue is revealed by the excessive weekly workload, frustration with the work and its conditions, double shifts, low pay, and low professional performance. It is also observed that fatigue is one of the predisposing factors to burnout syndrome, stress and psychological distress of professionals and that female intensivists are the most affected. The conclusion is that intensivists experience a routine that leads to physical and psychological problems, musculoskeletal complaints, minor psychic disorders, burnout syndrome and a perception of low professional performance.

The conclusion is that intensivists experience a routine that leads to physical and psychological problems, musculoskeletal complaints, minor psychic disorders, burnout syndrome and a perception of low professional performance.O objetivo dessa pesquisa foi analisar a fadiga a partir de seus aspectos multidimensionais estressores que atingem profissionais em ambientes de terapia intensiva. Sustenere Publishing2022-05-18info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://sustenere.inf.br/index.php/sciresalutis/article/view/694010.6008/CBPC2236-9600.2022.002.0036Scire Salutis; Vol. 12 No. 2 (2022): Scire Salutis - Fev, Mar, Abr 2022; 349-366Scire Salutis; Vol. 12 Núm. 2 (2022): Scire Salutis - Fev, Mar, Abr 2022; 349-366Scire Salutis; v. 12 n. 2 (2022): Scire Salutis - Fev, Mar, Abr 2022; 349-3662236-9600reponame:Scire Salutisinstname:Companhia Brasileira de Produção Científica (CBPC)instacron:ESSporenghttps://sustenere.inf.br/index.php/sciresalutis/article/view/6940/3791https://sustenere.inf.br/index.php/sciresalutis/article/view/6940/3790Copyright (c) 2022 Scire Salutishttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSoares, Luís Fernando Mota Bizarria, Fabiana Pinto de AlmeidaBarbosa, Flávia Lorenne Sampaio Cavalcante, Sara do Nascimento 2023-08-03T13:33:39Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/6940Revistahttps://sustenere.co/index.php/sciresalutisONGhttps://sustenere.co/index.php/sciresalutis/oai||carlos@arvore.org.br2236-96002236-9600opendoar:2023-08-03T13:33:39Scire Salutis - Companhia Brasileira de Produção Científica (CBPC)false
