Resumo: Accidents at work are one of the biggest public health problems and their reduction is of great interest to the government, companies and workers. Among the factors that contribute to occupational accidents, some are inherent to individuals, such as sex, age, education, living conditions, physical and emotional health, motivation, interest, among others. Accidents at work are divided into typical and commuting accidents where the typical are defined as resulting from the characteristic of the professional activity and commuting accidents are those that occur in the worker's movement between the residence and the workplace. The commuting accidents, mainly caused by traffic accidents, can be preventable, therefore, the present study aimed to raise all the details, causes and mechanisms that delimit commuting accidents, including the profile of the worker most prone to this type of trauma, allowing better planning of prevention strategies. For this, data from social security and the Federal Highway Police were used between 2012 and 2016, where they were tabulated and graphs were subsequently generated for better visualization and interpretation. The main causes of commuting accidents were identified within the CID classification, of which, the largest number of commuting accidents during the period in question, was suffered by male motorcyclists aged between 25 and 35 years, with the lack being attention to the main cause of accidents.

Sustenere Publishing2020-04-10info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://sustenere.inf.br/index.php/sciresalutis/article/view/CBPC2236-9600.2020.002.000810.6008/CBPC2236-9600.2020.002.0008Scire Salutis; Vol. 10 No. 2 (2020): Scire Salutis - Fev, Mar, Abr, Mai 2020; 58-66Scire Salutis; Vol. 10 Núm. 2 (2020): Scire Salutis - Fev, Mar, Abr, Mai 2020; 58-66Scire Salutis; v. 10 n. 2 (2020): Scire Salutis - Fev, Mar, Abr, Mai 2020; 58-662236-9600reponame:Scire Salutisinstname:Companhia Brasileira de Produção Científica (CBPC)instacron:ESSporhttps://sustenere.inf.br/index.php/sciresalutis/article/view/CBPC2236-9600.2020.002.0008/2052Copyright (c) 2020 Scire Salutisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessEugênio, Tony Matheus CarvalhoPereira, Tamires Galvão TavaresFaria, Douglas LamounierMattioli, Matheus CamposCosta Júnior, José Edimar VieiraMesquita Júnior, LaércioCruz, Thiago MoreiraNarciso, Carolina Rezende Pinto2020-07-14T13:34:48Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/3963Revistahttps://sustenere.co/index.php/sciresalutisONGhttps://sustenere.co/index.php/sciresalutis/oai||carlos@arvore.org.br2236-96002236-9600opendoar:2020-07-14T13:34:48Scire Salutis - Companhia Brasileira de Produção Científica (CBPC)false
