Resumo: | In the 1980s, AIDS was a disease that stirred the imagination of people and the social, cultural, economic and religious structures. For a long time, AIDS was understood as a disease of homosexuals, intravenous, drug users and sex workers. In the following decade the profile of people with HIV, which causes AIDS, was changing dramatically. The number of women infected with HIV raised rapidly. The groups considered at risk, technically no longer existed. The discourse was changed, leading to reflection on risk behavior, where everyone is vulnerable to infection by HIV. In this context, it is necessary to question the vulnerability of women. Victims not only of HIV, but also of gender violence caused by an androcentrism strongly widespread in our society, which also imposes limitation on the prevention work among the female audience. It is on this subject that this study sets out to address, using the theoretical frameworks in the field of diakonia and Feminist Theology. |
