Para isso, será utilizado o procedimento de pesquisa bibliográfica, com base na literatura atual sobre o tema, bem como pesquisa eletrônica. A pesquisa está estruturada em três capítulos. No primeiro, será abordado o conceito de sustentabilidade, a evolução da preocupação com o assunto e as várias áreas de aplicação e dimensões da sustentabilidade. No segundo capítulo, analisaremos a pedagogia e a educação como instrumentos de transformação, bem como a quebra de paradigmas no modelo de pedagogia e a interdisciplinaridade. No terceiro, analisaremos a Ecopedagogia como forma transformadora do educando e da educanda, que, influenciando inicialmente suas famílias, podem contribuir para modificar a sociedade no que tange à conscientização sobre a sustentabilidade planetária. É a educação de dentro para fora da escola.The goal of this research is to verify, even though not exhaustively, the possibility and the efficacy of using the private and public educational system as an instrument for propagating sustainability awareness through eco-pedagogy, using, among others, concepts such as eco-training and eco-entrepreneurship. For this the procedure of bibliographic research will be used, based on current literature on the theme, as well as electronic research. The research is structured into three chapters. In the first, the concept of sustainability will be dealt with, as well as the evolution of the concern with the subject and the various areas of application and dimensions of sustainability. In the second chapter we will analyze pedagogy and education as instruments of transformation, as well as the rupture of paradigms in the pedagogy model and interdisciplinarity. In the third, we will analyze eco-pedagogy as a transforming path for the student, who, influencing initially, their families, can contribute to modifying the society related to awareness raising about planetary sustainability.
