O objetivo é refletir acerca do método de Jesus de ensinar e como este influencia na pedagogia contemporânea. A partir de estudo bibliográfico, contempla-se, inicialmente, a educação na antiguidade, além de definir o que é a pedagogia. Reflete-se sobre o ensino no Antigo Testamento, no ensino da Lei e nas profecias, nas quais Jesus foi educado. A metodologia de Jesus tem na palavra a sua base, a partir dos seus ensinos nas parábolas e nos discursos, entre outros, para se mostrar na prática dos milagres e do seu exemplo de vida. A metodologia de ensino de Jesus, ao partir do povo e do seu contexto oprimido, evidencia a necessidade de se conhecer a realidade para ensinar com uma metodologia de ensino que possibilite ao povo compreender os ensinamentos, como fez Paulo Freire. Desta forma, a metodologia de Jesus, na sua essência libertadora, permanece atual uma vez que sempre parte do contexto dos indivíduos em busca da libertação ou, para usar um termo mais contemporâneo, para o exercício da cidadania.The theme of this paper is the methodology of Jesus’ teaching. The goal is to reflect about Jesus’ method of teaching and how this influences contemporary pedagogy. Based on a bibliographic study, one initially contemplates education in ancient times besides defining what pedagogy is. One reflects about teaching in the Old Testament, in the Law and in the prophecies, in which Jesus was educated. Jesus’ methodology has the word as its foundation, based on his teachings in the parables and in the discourses, among others, to be shown in practice through the miracles and his life example. The methodology of Jesus’ teaching, based on the people and their oppressive context, demonstrates the need to get to know the reality in order to teach with a teaching methodology which makes it possible for the people to understand the teachings, as Paulo Freire did.
