Resumo: This article aimed to address the challenges faced by women when compared to men to achieve and perform in leadership positions within the corporate environment, seeking to present the difficulties faced, taking into account various factors such as inequality and gender equity, in addition to the existing historical prejudice in relation to the presence of women in organizations. For more assertive results, exploratory and quantitative field research methods were used, where a 12-question questionnaire was developed for women who work or have worked in the field of leadership, with the premise of identifying the challenges faced to reach their respective positions. In a quantitative analysis of the research, data was calculated, concluding the existence, even today, of discrimination and inequality of opportunities for women in the corporate environment, with a smaller number of women working in leadership positions in companies.

In a quantitative analysis of the research, data was calculated, concluding the existence, even today, of discrimination and inequality of opportunities for women in the corporate environment, with a smaller number of women working in leadership positions in companies.O presente artigo teve por objetivo abordar os desafios enfrentados pela mulher quando comparadas ao homem para alcançar e desempenhar a atuação em cargos de liderança dentro do ambiente corporativo, buscando apresentar as dificuldades enfrentadas, levando em consideração diversos fatores como a desigualdade e equidade de gênero, além do preconceito histórico existente em relação a presença do sexo feminino nas organizações. Para resultados mais assertivos, fez-se uso dos métodos da pesquisa de campo, exploratória e quantitativa, onde desenvolveu-se um questionário com 11 questões direcionado as mulheres que atuam ou já atuaram na área da liderança, com a premissa de identificar quais os desafios enfrentados para alcançarem seus respectivos cargos.
