Resumo: The aim of this study is to reflect on the role of Humanities education in the context of a cultural model in which a narrative of utility and economic profitability predominates. The main axis of this study is guided by a question: what is there to think, when thinking of the Humanities becomes a task of resistance? The development of the analysis will attempt to test the following thesis: there is a “heavy price” to pay for the gap in the study of the Humanities; this price is economic, political, civic, democratic, and anthropological. It remains to formulate the question what to do to prevent such a “heavy” price. In an attempt to answer this question, we will propose a consideration of some aspects of the way P. Ricoeur (1983, 1986, 1988, 1998, 2000) retrieves main concepts of the thought of R. Koselleck (1990).

Koselleck (1990). El objetivo del presente trabajo es meditar sobre el lugar de la enseñanza de las Humanidades en el contexto de un modelo cultural en el que predomina una narrativa de la utilidad y rentabilidad económicas. El principal eje del trabajo está orientado por un cuestionamiento: ¿qué llama todavía y siempre a pensar, cuando pensar las Humanidades se vuelve una tarea de resistencia? El desarrollo del análisis intentará probar la siguiente tesis: hay un “precio pesado” a pagar por el retroceso del espacio de las Humanidades; este precio es económico, político, cívico, democrático y antropológico. Es necesario formular la cuestión de qué hacer para impedir este “pesado” pago. En la vía de un intento de respuesta, propondremos una consideración de algunos aspectos del modo como P. Ricoeur (1983, 1986, 1988, 1998, 2000) recupera conceptos centrales del pensamiento de R. Koselleck (1990).  L’objectif de ce travail est de réfléchir sur la place de l’enseignement des Humanités dans le contexte d’un modèle culturel où prédomine un discours d’utilité et de rentabilité économiques. L’axe principal de ce travail est orienté par un questionnement: qu’est-ce qui nous appelle à penser encore et toujours – quand penser – les humanités devient une tâche de résistance? Le développement de cette analyse nous permettra de tester la thèse suivante : le recul de l’espace réservé aux humanités entraîne un lourd tribut à payer; ce coût est à la fois économique, politique, civique, démocratique et anthropologique. Il reste à savoir que faire pour éviter un tel prix. Comme tentative de réponse nous proposons considérer quelques aspects de la façon dont P. Ricoeur (1983, 1986, 1988, 1998, 2000) reprend des concepts centraux de la pensée de R. Koselleck (1990).  O objetivo do presente trabalho é meditar sobre o lugar do ensino das Humanidades no contexto de um modelo cultural em que predomina uma narrativa da utilidade e rentabilidade económicas. O principal eixo do trabalho é orientado por um questionamento: o que resta pensar quando “pensar sobre as Humanidades” se torna uma tarefa de resistência? O desenvolvimento da análise procurará testar a seguinte tese: há um “preço pesado” a pagar pelo recuo do espaço das Humanidades; esse preço é económico, político, cívico, democrático e antropológico. Resta formular a questão de saber o que fazer para obstar a tal “pesado” pagamento. Na via de uma tentativa de resposta, proporemos uma consideração de alguns aspetos do modo como P. Ricoeur (1983, 1986, 1988, 1998, 2000) recupera conceitos centrais do pensamento de R.
