Bakhtin and Wittgenstein: dialogues on ethics and research in human sciences

Resumo: This text approaches matters related to the specificity of the knowledge produced by human sciences and, consequently, the implications of this knowledge for the researcher’s work. In order to do that, we will count on the invaluable  contributions of Bakhtin and Wittgenstein, two philosophers of language. The novelty of their thinking lies in the attempt to free human sciences from a single model of rigor concerning scientific methodology and, moreover, in the bold invitation to the researcher, from whom singularity and responsibility in the act of thinking is expected.

Para ello contaremos con las fundamentales contribuciones de Bakhtin y Wittgenstein, dos filósofos del lenguaje. La novedad del pensamiento de ambos reside en el intento de liberar las ciencias humanas de un modelo único de rigor relativo a la metodología científica y, además, en la ossada invitación al investigador, del cual se esperan la singularidad y la responsabilidade en el acto de pensar.  Ce texte aborde des questions ayant trait à la spécificité de la connaissance produite par les sciences humaines et, par conséquence, aux implications de celle-ci pour la tâche du chercheur. Pour cela, nous utiliserons les contributions fondamentales de Bakhtin et Wittgenstein, deux philosophes du langage. La nouveauté de leur pensée réside non seulent dans la tentative d’affranchir les sciences humaines d’un modèle unique de rigueur se référant à la méthodologie scientifique, mais encore dans la hardiesse de l’invitation faite au chercheur, singularité et de responsabilité dans l’acte de penser.  Este texto aborda questões relativas à especificidade do conhecimento produzido pelas ciências humanas e, por consequência, as implicações desse conhecimento para a tarefa do pesquisador. Para isso, contaremos com as fundamentais contribuições de Bakhtin e Wittgenstein, dois filósofos da linguagem.
