This article aims to explain the police adopted by the USA in the obliteration of the coca plantations in Bolivia, Colombia and Peru. Furthermore, it will show the substitution of growing leaves to other alternatives and finally, expose the polices related to production, elaboration and commercialization of cocaine in these three countries, considered the producers of leaves of coca, raw material for basic paste and cocaine. In this study, the support theory will come from the Bolivian law “Ley del Regimen de la Cocay SubstanciasControladas “(law 1008, july 19, 1988); this law is a result of the international treaties proposed by ONU. The other pointe of support is the work “Da folha da coca à cocaine: os direitos humanos e os impactos das políticas internacionais de drogas nas populações nativas da Bolivia” (From leaves of coca to caine: Human Rights and the impacta of international policies regarding drugs on Bolivia´s native population), fron the authors Luciana Chernicharo Peluzio and Luciana Boitux Rodrigues. This work contributes to explain the USA´sparticipation in the war against drugs in Latin America, especially in Bolivia.
