Resumo: | This paper broaches the question of cultural shock, not so much as a problem, but as an important knowledge potential for business, and provides examples of cultural shocks experienced by Brazilians, the majority from the Carioca culture (from Rio de Janeiro). The paper also describes a project which articulates cross-cultural development with research involving foreign trade students and professionals. With comprehension of the spoken word aiming to enrich the written word, making it more consistent in cultural terms, the study's results reveal the values of the subjects and a henomenological drive that orients them to wards libeny, as well as indicates cross-culturallearning, reaching the proposed objectives. |

O estudo também descreve um projeto que articula o propósito de desenvolvimento intercultural com a pesquisa, envolvendo estudantes e profissionais em comércio exterior.
