A teaching and research experience in a state organization under change

Resumo: This paper describes a teaching and research experience that took place in 1998 in a state organization undergoing a traumatic process of change: Furnas Centrais Elétricas S.A. Four main reasons make this experience different from others: it took place within the context of the change that the company was undergoing; it used both live classes and tele-tutoring; within its framework it produced a research which was carried out by a teacher with the members, as well as projects to solve organizational problems, which weredeveloped bye the members, who, by their turn, had to make a research effort; the research carried out by the teacher also privileged a data collecting alternatite procedure: collective image-building.
