Resumo: This article is aimed at presenting and commenting some of the more important evolutions observed in the management of hydric resources in Brazil, from the institutional standpoint, mainly in what concerns the recommendation for establishment of integrated gestion systems, as included in the Program 21 of Rio Conference.
