Resumo: | Findings alert that most Portuguese public administration services do not have any formal assessment of the needs, as well as training plans, shared evaluation systems with promoting institutions, training centers (mainly centers that provide behavioral training) or involvement of client services in the training process. Despite this, high civil servants and managers are still optimistic about the role of behavioral training in administrative modernization. Nonetheless, in this regard, the results show numerous contradictions, making it obvious that for now there is neither the involvement of civil servants nor the articulation of behavioral training actions with the (still few) projects of administrative modernization. |

Nonetheless, in this regard, the results show numerous contradictions, making it obvious that for now there is neither the involvement of civil servants nor the articulation of behavioral training actions with the (still few) projects of administrative modernization.Os resultados coletados alertam para o fato de na maioria dos serviços da administração pública portuguesa não existirem os diagnósticos de necessidades formalizados, os planos de formação, a partilha dos sistemas de avaliação com as organizações promotoras, o aprofundamento das mesmas, os centros de formação (principalmente os que produzem formação na área comportamental) e o envolvimento dos serviços clientes em todo o processo formativo. Apesar disso, quadros superiores e dirigentes continuam otimistas no que concerne ao papel da formação comportamental na modernização administrativa.
