AN ANALYSIS OF THE FIELD OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION BASED ON THE SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION RELEASED IN THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE ENAPGS

This article presents an analysis of the field of Public Administration based on the scientific production released in the Proceedings of the EnAPGs, explaining what it shows and displays regarding the field. All articles published were initially raised in EnAPGs held in 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010, that is, 576 articles, which were then classified into eight topics of interest shown by the Division of Public Administration. The analysis of these articles was carried out, confirming its closeness to the theme or redirecting it to a closer one. The results show a variety of covered subjects, but indicate that this production does not seem to develop continuously and systematically on certain concepts, theoretical framework or research subjects. They indicate the absence of theoretical discussion and more effective deepening, releasing a concern over the future of the field, since the discussions of the analyzed studies did not seem to contribute to their strengthening, on the contrary, they (have come to) make it fragile, uncertain and dependent on other fields.
