Resumo: | Some socio-cultural changes arose since the development of computers. Education could not be set aside from these changes. Some experiences using computers in education were developed, with mainframes at first and increasing in number when microcomputers were introduced. This work discusses how this technology is being implemented, some evaluations already done, existing problems and future trends. The main focus centers on the 'Projeto Ciranda', implemented by Embratel. An educational approach is employed to discuss its philosophy, objectives and the population involved. |

Várias experiências do seu uso em educação surgiram, inicialmente em computadores de grande porte; posteriormente, com o surgimento dos microcomputadores, essas experiências se multiplicaram. Como esse equipamento vem sendo utilizado, avaliações já realizadas, alguns problemas existentes e perspectivas futuras são discutidas neste trabalho; que procura apresentar o Projeto Ciranda, implantado pela Embratel.
