Resumo: As the e-commerce sector in Brazil continues to experience unprecedented growth, the environmental impact of last-mile deliveries has become a critical concern, due to issues with urban mobility and greenhouse gases emissions. This paper investigates the role of stakeholders in influencing the adoption of sustainable practices within the last-mile delivery processes of the Brazilian e-commerce. The research employs the qualitative method, with in-depth interviews to analyze the perspectives, motivations, and challenges faced by Logistics Managers in the pursuit of sustainable last-mile delivery solutions. Through the analysis of the contents of the interviews, this study identifies the main actors in the adoption of sustainable practices in last-mile deliveries, and what pressures they put on decision-makers and their companies. Results suggest that e-commerce companies and logistics providers play a central role in driving change through the implementation of cleaner technologies, but always with the participation of the Top Management, due to the necessity of balancing short-term goals, such as costs and efficiency, and long-term goals, such as decarbonization. Policymakers are instrumental in creating a regulatory framework that incentivizes sustainable practices, while consumer awareness and preferences can influence industry behavior, even though this behavior towards responsible and sustainable products and services is not mature yet. This paper contributes to the existing literature by providing an understanding of the dynamics influencing the adoption of sustainable last-mile delivery practices in the Brazilian e-commerce context. The findings offer insights for professionals seeking to foster a more environmentally conscious and socially responsible e-commerce distribution, like the necessity of aligning shortterm goals, generally related to costs and efficiency, and long-term goals, for example, projects that seek to decarbonize last-mile deliveries that are usually more expensive, and, also, the participation of the Top Management in the matter so that the search for sustainable practices is part of the operations daily routine.

As the e-commerce sector in Brazil continues to experience unprecedented growth, the environmental impact of last-mile deliveries has become a critical concern, due to issues with urban mobility and greenhouse gases emissions.
