DELIVERIES MEDIATED BY MOBILE APPS AND THE MYTH OF SELF ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC

Resumo: This article intends to analyze the factual and legal reality of deliverers working for cell phone apps during the pandemic of the new coronavirus in Brazil. These workers, in an increasingly number, are represented in the current scenario of the Digital Technology Economy as entrepreneurs, but they are, at most, entrepreneurs of themselves. The main objective of the article is to demonstrate that although they are treated as entrepreneurs (of themselves), delivery people linked to the main delivery platforms suffer a lot and earn little, and their situation is being aggravated by the coronavirus pandemic. The bibliographical survey and the monitoring of the subject in the national media allow us to conclude that an increasingly important category, mainly due to the necessary social distance imposed by the pandemic, does not receive the necessary support from the State to work with dignity, living in true abandonment, which here it is multidimensional.

Esses trabalhadores, em número cada vez mais significativo, são representados no atual cenário da Economia da Tecnologia Digital como se fossem empreendedores, mas que não passam, quando muito, de empreendedores de si mesmos. O objetivo central do artigo é demonstrar que muito embora sejam tratados como empreendedores (de si mesmos) os entregadores vinculados às principais plataformas de entregas sofrem muito e ganham pouco, tendo sua situação agravada pela pandemia do coronavírus.
