Resumo: The National Policy of Integrative and Complementary Practices of the Ministry of Health, considered the use of medicinal plants and herbal medicine in the Unified Health System (SUS), which was the recognition of the practice of herbal medicine by the regulated dentist in 2008 the Conselho Federal de Odontologia However for Dentistry this treatment option is not widely used. Therefore, the purpose of review and systematize the work of the scientific literature data on plant products indicated for dentistry, helping to promote its use by dentists.

No entanto para a Odontologia esta opção terapêutica ainda é pouco utilizada.
