Resumo: The aim of the present work was to evaluate the influence of the light and oxygen on the phenolic constituents of fluid and solid Schinus terebinthifolius intermediated preparations. The fluid extract was obtained through official procedure and incorporated into cellulose granules by wet granulation. The granules were coating by a fluidization technique using polyvinyl acetate phthalate, as wall material. The different preparations obtained were submitted to drastic conditions of artificial light exposure and oxygen concentration and its chemical stability was evaluated by total phenolic content analysis and scanning UV spectra. The results showed that light influence depends of the physical state and concentration of the preparations. On the other hand, the oxygen influence do not depend of these factors and can not be controlled even by the biggest weight gain coating operation, that is functional, from the point of view of phenolic releasing.
