Resumo: This study aimed to highlight, illustrate, describe, and comment on the presence of the health category in the work of Pierre Bourdieu, by underlining the themes traditionally related to the sociology of the body. After a systematic analysis of his work in the sociology of medicine and health, the article also addresses the main vehicle for his line of thought, namely Actes de la Recherche en Sciences Sociales, viewed here as the prime channel for most of the research taking Bourdieu's "genetic structuralism" as the main theoretical reference. We analyze the articles published from 1975 to 2001, from the thematic and theoretical/conceptual perspective, by comparing the changes appearing in this journal in opposition to the model previously adopted by the Revue Française de Sociologie.

Após uma análise sistemática do conjunto de sua obra em termos de sociologia médica e da saúde, fez-se o mesmo no que concerne o principal veículo de expressão de sua linha de pensamento, a saber, a revista Actes de la Recherche en Sciences Sociales, que consideramos o lugar privilegiado no qual se publicou a maioria dos trabalhos cuja referência teórica era a corrente do "estruturalismo genético" de Bourdieu.
