Resumo: This paper addresses the growth of distributed generation in Brazil after the publication of ANEEL Normative Resolution No. 482/2012, with emphasis on the states of Minas Gerais, Sao Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul, Rio de Janeiro and Ceará in the last five years. The general objective of this paper is to analyze the growth of photovoltaic energy in the following Brazilian states of Minas Gerais, Sao Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná, after the publication ANEEL Normative No. 482/2012 in order to analyze the existence of correlation. between these states. This is a quantitative analysis, using information obtained through publications and studies published by ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) and ABSOLAR (Brazilian Association and Photovoltaic Solar Energy), as well as articles, sector analysis and others. The study made it possible to observe the growth behavior of distributed generation in Brazil, as well as to identify the 5 states that contributed the most to this growth. After identifying a strong correlation between the analyzed states, it can be concluded that the growth between them grew almost simultaneously in the analyzed years. It is hoped that this study will enable a better understanding of the proposed theme and be used to elaborate new studies regarding the model of energy generation through renewable sources.
