Currently the schools have been going through a process of implementation of practices focused on environmental education. However, in some regions there are still difficulties with teachers. The purpose of this article is to show the comparison of this implementation between schools in Belém-PA (Brazil) and Freiburg (Germany). The methodology used was the application of questionnaires and in locu observation of schools in the two cities previously mentioned. The results show that teachers have good intentions in their schools, differing largely from their structure. It is concluded that despite the geographic distance and lack of communication between these schools there are, on the part of the teachers, good initiatives for the practice of environmental education, but unfortunately the structure of Brazilian schools needs more attention.
