EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS BETWEEN SCHOOLS IN BELÉM (PA/BRAZIL) AND FREIBURG (GERMANY)

Resumo: Currently the schools have been going through a process of implementation of practices focused on environmental education. However, in some regions there are still difficulties with teachers. The purpose of this article is to show the comparison of this implementation between schools in Belém-PA (Brazil) and Freiburg (Germany). The methodology used was the application of questionnaires and in locu observation of schools in the two cities previously mentioned. The results show that teachers have good intentions in their schools, differing largely from their structure. It is concluded that despite the geographic distance and lack of communication between these schools there are, on the part of the teachers, good initiatives for the practice of environmental education, but unfortunately the structure of Brazilian schools needs more attention.

Sin embargo, en algunas regiones, todaví­a hay dificultades por parte del cuerpo docente. El objetivo de este artí­culo es mostrar la comparación entre esa implementación entre escuelas de Belém-PA (Brasil) y Freiburg (Alemania). La metodologí­a utilizada fue la aplicación de cuestionarios y observación in situ de escuelas en las dos ciudades citadas anteriormente. Los resultados demuestran que los profesores presentan buenas intenciones en sus escuelas, diferenciándose en gran parte de la estructura de las mismas. Se concluye que a pesar de la distancia geográfica y falta de comunicación entre esas escuelas hay, por parte de los profesores, buenas iniciativas para la práctica de la educación ambiental, pero desafortunadamente la estructura de las escuelas brasileñas dejan a desear.       Atualmente as escolas vêm passando por um processo de implementação de práticas voltadas a educação ambiental. Porém, em algumas regiões, ainda há dificuldades por parte do corpo docente. O objetivo deste artigo é mostrar a comparação entre essa implementação entre escolas de Belém-PA (Brasil) e Freiburg (Alemanha). A metodologia utilizada foi a aplicação de questionários e observação in loco de escolas nas duas cidades citadas anteriormente. Os resultados demonstram que os professores apresentam boas intenções em suas escolas, diferindo em grande parte da estrutura das mesmas.
