Resumo: | The purpose of this study was to carry out an environmental diagnostic in an automotive concessionaire located in the city of Pelotas, RS, in relation to solid waste management generated in the company, in order to verify the concessionaire's commitment to environmental issues. This is a descriptive and qualitative research, in which a questionnaire was used as a data collection instrument, with closed questions about the solid waste management from the topics management, treatment, solid waste disposal and final disposal of the waste. Thus, it was noticed through the research, that the automobile concessionaire in question shows concern about environmental issues,mainly in relation to the solid waste generated in the company. This decision-making, can contribute, inside and outside the company, to make employees and customers aware. In addition, the possibility of attracting new customers, due to their positive actions, makes the company more productive and profitable in relation to the market, generating income and jobs. |

In addition, the possibility of attracting new customers, due to their positive actions, makes the company more productive and profitable in relation to the market, generating income and jobs. El objetivo del trabajo fue realizar un diagnóstico ambiental en una concesionaria automotriz situada en el municipio de Pelotas -RS, en relación gestión de los residuos sólidos generados en la empresa, con el objetivo de verificar el compromiso de la concesionaria en cuanto a las cuestiones ambientales. Se trata de una investigación descriptiva y de carácter cualitativo, en el cual se utilizó un cuestionario como instrumento de recolección de datos, con preguntas cerradas sobre la gestión de los residuos sólidos a partir de los tópicos gestión, tratamiento, destino de los residuos sólidos y disposición final de los residuos sólidos relaves. Así, se percibió a través de la investigación, que la concesionaria automovilística en cuestión demuestra preocupación con las cuestiones ambientales, principalmente en relación a los residuos sólidos generados en la empresa. Esta toma de decisión puede contribuir, dentro y fuera de la empresa, de manera a concienciar a los empleados y clientes. Además, la posibilidad de atraer nuevos clientes, debido a sus acciones positivas, hace que la empresa sea más productiva y rentable en relación al mercado, pudiendo generar ingresos y empleos.O objetivo do trabalho foi realizar um diagnóstico ambiental em uma concessionária automotiva situada no município de Pelotas -RS, em relação gestão dos resíduos sólidos gerados na empresa, com o intuito de verificar o comprometimento da concessionária quanto í s questões ambientais. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva e de caráter qualitativo, no qual foi utilizado um questionário como instrumento de coleta de dados, com perguntas fechadas sobre a gestão dos resíduos sólidos a partir dos tópicos gerenciamento, tratamento, destinação dos resíduos sólidos e disposição final dos rejeitos. Assim, percebeu-se através da pesquisa, que a concessionária automobilística em questão demonstra preocupação com as questões ambientais, principalmente em relação aos resíduos sólidos gerados na empresa.  Essa tomada de decisão pode contribuir, dentro e fora da empresa, de maneira a conscientizar funcionários e clientes.
