Quality of life of nursing of students from a public university in northern Brazil

Resumo: To analyze the quality of life of nursing students at the Federal University of Pará. This is aquantitative, descriptive study. As for the general quality of life, 22.01% evaluated it as bad orvery bad. Regarding health assessment, 38.99% showed dissatisfaction. In the physical domain,the highest score was observed in the energy and fatigue aspect (3.34) and the worst score was indaily activities (2.35). In the psychological domain, the highest score was in spirituality/religion/personal beliefs (3.57) and the worst was in positive feelings (2.81). The aspects related to socialrelations domain received approximate scores: social support (3.47), personal relationships(3.34), and sexual activity (3.23). In the domain environment, the best score was attributed to theenvironment at home (3.29) and the worst to recreation/leisure opportunities on campus (2.00).Nursing students are prone to develop psychosomatic illnesses and, consequently, decreasetheir quality of life.

Estudo quantitativo do tipo descritivo. Quanto à qualidade de vida geral, 22,01% avaliam como ruim ou muito ruim. Quanto à avaliação de saúde, 38,99% afirmaram insatisfação. No domínio físico, o maior escore foi observado na faceta de energia e fadiga (3,34) e o pior escore foi nas atividades do cotidiano (2,35). No domínio psicológico, o maior escore foi na faceta de espiritualidade/religião/crenças pessoais (3,57) e o pior foi na faceta de sentimentos positivos (2,81). As facetas do domínio de relações sociais receberam escores aproximados: suporte social (3,47), relações pessoais (3,34) e atividade sexual (3,23). No domínio ambiente, o melhor escore foi atribuído ao ambiente no lar (3,29) e o pior às oportunidades de recreação/lazer no campus (2,00).
