A cerveja é uma das bebidas mais consumidas no mundo e de ampla produção mundial. O crescimento da indústria de produção de cerveja avança de forma sustentável no Brasil e é constante nos últimos 20 anos. O objetivo principal do estudo foi analisar a influência da estrutura e da conduta das cervejarias no seu desempenho na indústria de produção de cerveja artesanal da cidade de Passo Fundo/RS. Para a realização desse estudo, foram utilizados dados qualitativos e quantitativos, obtidos através de uma pesquisa exploratória e descritiva, aplicada em três das cinco cervejarias em atividade na cidade. Os principais resultados deste estudo baseiam-se na identificação da competitividade na indústria, das influências exercidas por clientes, concorrentes e fornecedores além das estratégias adotadas pelas cervejarias para competirem no mercado. Assim, os resultados do estudo oferecem implicações para o gerenciamento bem-sucedido das cervejarias bem como nos trazem dados relevantes para a compreensão da indústria estudada e auxilia no conhecimento da estrutura da indústria estudada, permitindo que se faça um planejamento estratégico que seja favorável diante de futuros desafios, contribuindo para a identificação de oportunidades e ameaças. Palavras-chave: Estrutura-Conduta-Desempenho. Cervejarias Artesanais. Competitividade.ABSTRACT Beer is one of the most consumed beverages in the world and widely produced worldwide. The growth of the beer production industry is advancing sustainably in Brazil and has been constant over the last 20 years. The main objective of the study was to analyze the influence of the structure and conduct of breweries on their performance in the craft beer production industry in the city of Passo Fundo/RS. To carry out this study, que used qualitative and quantitative data, obtained through an exploratory and descriptive research applied in three of the five breweries operating in the city. The main results of this study are based on the identification of competitiveness in the industry, the influences exerted by customers, competitors and suppliers, in addition to the strategies adopted by breweries to compete in the market. Thus, the study results offer implications for the successful management of breweries, as well as bring us relevant data for the understanding of the studied industry and help to understand the structure of the studied industry, allowing for a strategic planning that is favorable towards future challenges, contributing to the identification of opportunities and threats. Keywords: Structure-Conduct-Performance.
