RESUMO Como algo que só funciona em ambiente cultural, uma língua natural carece de um aporte de cultura que permita uma compreensão adequada de seu sentido real. Por meio da metodologia da Semântica de Contextos e Cenários, o presente artigo visa a demonstrar que através de metáforas presentes na festa do [ta’ran], festa religiosa da nação ameríndia itenez, da Bolívia, podemos compreender que aquilo que se realiza como metáfora em uma cultura não tem sentido metafórico em outra justamente em virtude das diferenças do pano de fundo cultural. Palavras-Chaves: Relação entre língua e cultura. Semântica de Contextos e Cenários.  ABSTRACT As something that only works in the cultural environment, a natural language lacks a contribution of culture to allow a proper understanding of its real meaning. Through the methodology of Context and Scenery Semantics, this paper aims to demonstrate that through metaphors present in the [ta’ran] party, religious celebration of Amerindian itenez nation, from Bolivia, we understand that what is done as a metaphor for one culture has no metaphorical meaning in another, precisely because of differences in cultural background. Key-Words: Relationship between language and culture.
