Surdez. Metodologia. Ensino. Aprendizagem. ABSTRACT This article aims to reflect on the oppression and repression of sign language and the suffocation of culture and deaf identities as well as the importance of visual pedagogy in the education of the deaf. In this work, we have shown that imagery studies are fundamental in the education of the deaf, since their language, recognized by Law 10436/02, emphasizes their visuospatial characteristics and, therefore, a strong alliance with the deaf is found in the image. The text that follows is organized in three specific parts, namely: 1) History and Culture Deaf; 2) Oppression and Linguistic Repression versus Visual Pedagogy; And 3) Perceptions on LIBRAS, Identity, Deaf Culture and Visual Pedagogy. Based on the authors (Campello, 2007, 2008), STROBEL (2008) and PERLIN (1998, 2000) show that teachers are also based on verbal studies for the development of skills and competences to be developed by the deaf. It becomes urgent for the school to open up to Visual Pedagogy, since the Deaf have their visual experience and this characterizes their Culture, their Language. Keywords: Libras. Deafness. Methodologies. Teaching. learning. |
