Esse artigo é parte de um trabalho maior desenvolvido no POSGEA/UFRGS no ano de 2015, dentro da linha de pesquisa em Ensino de Geografia, com o objetivo de se estudar o Espaço Mentalmente Projetado (EMP). Na parte exposta neste artigo, damos ênfase à correspondência trocada entre duas escolas, uma localizada em Porto Alegre e outra em Faxinal do Soturno, ambas localizadas no Rio Grande do Sul, com o objetivo de se entender o EMP e desenvolver as potencialidades presentes no ato da escrita por parte de jovens estudantes, visando a uma melhor leitura da palavra e do mundo. Palavras-chave: Ensino de Geografia. Cartas. ABSTRACT This article is part of a larger work developed at POSGEA/UFRGS in the year 2015, within the line of research in Geography Teaching, with the objective of studying the Mentally Projected Space (EMP). In the part exposed in this article, we emphasize the correspondence exchanged between two schools, one located in Porto Alegre and another in Faxinal do Soturno, both located in Rio Grande do Sul, in order to understand the EMP and to develop the potentialities present in the act of writing by young students, aiming at a better reading of the word and the world. Key words: Geography Teaching.
