Resumo: The aim of this paper is to show that in DK 22 B 52 Heraclitus reflects on two different temporal experiences that are opposed to each other. The first one, expressed by the term παῖς, is assimilated to temporal succession, chance and diversity; the second one, expressed by the term αἰών, refers to the cyclical and rational repetition that can be seen in the continuous replace of things. Reality is then constituted by the tension between two temporal experiences, succession and cyclical repetition, that are both opposed to each other and regulated by λόγος.
