Resumo: In Ennead IV, 7, Plotinus affirms that the nature of man is not simple, since he has a soul and a body. The Plotinian doctrine of the relations between the soul and the body is a complex one: the body is not united with the soul, but with a kind of image of the soul. This composite of body and image of soul is the seat of the affections. In this paper, I study what Plotinus says in III, 6 about the origin of the affections in the composite and how it relates with the soul and its impassibility.

Revista HypnosHypnos Journal2013-09-05info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://hypnos.org.br/index.php/hypnos/article/view/164Revista Hypnos; n. 31 (2013): Ângulos do conhecimentoHypnos Journal; No. 31 (2013): ANGLES OF KNOWLEDGE2177-53461413-9138reponame:Hypnosinstname:Faculdade de São Bento (FSB)instacron:FSBporhttps://hypnos.org.br/index.php/hypnos/article/view/164/166Copyright (c) 2013 Bernardo Lins Brandãoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessBrandão, Bernardo Lins2015-09-06T01:58:10Zoai:ojs.hypnos.org.br:article/164Revistahttps://hypnos.org.br/index.php/hypnosPRIhttps://hypnos.org.br/index.php/hypnos/oairachelgazolla@gmail.com2177-53461413-9138opendoar:2023-01-13T09:46:51.369986Hypnos - Faculdade de São Bento (FSB)false
