Resumo: The National School Feeding Program (PNAE) satisfies a right of the students in Brazilian basic education, which according to the law of the guidelines and bases of National Education (LDB), of 1996, establishes that it is up to the State to implement supplementary feeding programs within the scope of it. The research on the PNAE sought to understand the origin and history of the Program, as well as its implementation and the benefits for students and family farmers food producers. The research is of theoretical properties and its referential sought to know the history of the PNAE law, and the concept of family farming, public policies and countryside development.

La investigación sobre el PNAE buscaba comprender el origen y la historia del Programa, así como su aplicación y los beneficios para los estudiantes y los agricultores familiares que producen alimentos. La investigación es de carácter teórico y la referencia buscaba conocer la historia de la ley PNAE, el concepto de agricultura familiar, las políticas públicas y el desarrollo rural.Le Programme national d'alimentation scolaire (PNAE) réalise un droit des élèves de l'éducation de base brésilienne qui, conformément à la loi de 1996 sur les lignes directrices et les bases de l'éducation nationale (LDB), établit qu'il est de la responsabilité de l'État de mettre en œuvre des programmes d'alimentation complémentaire dans le cadre de celui-ci. La recherche sur le PNAE visait à comprendre l'origine et l'histoire du Programme, ainsi que sa mise en œuvre et les bénéfices pour les étudiants et les agriculteurs familiaux producteurs de denrées alimentaires. La recherche est de nature théorique et la référence recherchée pour connaître l'histoire de la loi PNAE, le concept d'agriculture familiale, les politiques publiques et le développement rural.O Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar (PNAE) atende a um direito de estudantes da educação básica brasileira, que de acordo com a lei das diretrizes e bases da Educação Nacional (LDB), de 1996, estabelece que compete ao Estado implementar programas suplementares de alimentação no âmbito da mesma. A pesquisa sobre o PNAE buscou compreender a origem e o histórico do Programa, bem como sua implementação e os benefícios para estudantes e agricultores familiares produtores de alimentos.
