Resumo: This paper focuses on the activities undertaken by the Núcleo de Práticas Complementares ao Ensino Regular (NUPRAC / FAE /UFPel) that aims to develop practical addition to regular education taught in schools. It represents the possibility of inclusion in educational practices and research students of Curso de Pedagogia e do Programa de Pós Graduação em Educação da Universidade Federal de Pelotas in the community of Loteamento CEVAL in Pelotas / RS, area of extreme social vulnerability, consisting largely by garbage collectors.
