BIOGRAPHICAL RESEARCH IN THE FIELD OF MIGRATION AND INTERCULTURALITY

Resumo: This article focuses on biographical research, highlighting the contributions of this methodological approach to the study of migration and interculturality, through the use of the biographical interview and other techniques, with the aim of making visible, understanding and socially and culturally contextualising the life histories of minors and young people of immigrant origin. The theoretical references are based on narrative identities, critical interculturality and migration studies. It is proposed a complex and plural approach to biographical research on immigrants, with a specific focus on minors and young people, paying attention to the epistemological and methodological dimensions, in order to develop research with quality, rigour, ethical sense and social relevance.

Los referenciales teóricos son las identidades narrativas, la interculturalidad crítica y los estudios migratorios. Se propone un abordaje complejo y plural de la investigación biográfica sobre las personas inmigrantes, con foco específico en los menores y jóvenes, prestando atención a las dimensiones epistemológicas y metodológicas, para desarrollar investigaciones con calidad, rigor, sentido ético y relevancia social.Cet article se concentre sur la recherche biographique, en soulignant les contributions de cette approche méthodologique à l'étude de la migration et de l'interculturalité, à travers l'utilisation de l'entretien biographique et d'autres techniques, dans le but de rendre visible, de comprendre et de contextualiser socialement et culturellement les histoires de vie des mineurs et des jeunes d'origine immigrée. Les références théoriques sont basées sur les identités narratives, l'interculturalité critique et les études sur la migration. Il est proposé une approche complexe et plurielle de la recherche biographique sur les immigrés, avec une attention particulière aux mineurs et aux jeunes, en prêtant attention aux dimensions épistémologiques et méthodologiques, afin de développer une recherche de qualité, rigoureuse, avec un sens éthique et une pertinence sociale.Este artigo enfoca a pesquisa biográfica, salientando as contribuições desta abordagem metodológica para o estudo das migrações e da interculturalidade, através do uso de entrevistas biográficas e outras técnicas, com o objetivo de tornar visível, compreensível e contextualizar social e culturalmente as histórias de vida de crianças e jovens de origem imigrante. As referências teóricas são as identidades narrativas, a interculturalidade crítica e os estudos de migração.
