QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH: imbrication of multiple and complex factors of the investigative approaches

Resumo: | This article had as subject the paradigmatic approaches that involves the research. It´s justified as being a geared text toward the beginner researchers and professors who teach disciplines related to research methodology. It had as main objective to discuss paradigmatic approaches related to Educational research. And as specific objectives: to articulate concepts related to methodologic approaches and to debate paradigmatic specificities. It started from authors as Denzin and Lincoln (2010), Lincoln and Guba (2010), Kuhn (1998), Flick (2009), Estrela (1992), etc. Methodologically it is a theoretic research, exploratory, based in bibliographical research made by mixed file. It contributed with concepts from many authors about quantitative and qualitative approaches, their constitutive aspects (ontological, epistemological, axiological, and methodologic), as well as its paradigmatic bases. So, this article brings contributions that may help to think about the reality’s apprehension. |

Se justifica como un texto direccionado para los investigadores iniciales y docentes que impartan asignaturas relacionadas a la metodología de investigación. Tuvo como objetivo general discutir abordajes paradigmáticos referentes a las investigaciones en Educación. Y como objetivos específicos: articular conceptos relativos a los abordajes metodológicos y debatir especificidades paradigmáticas. Se partió de autores como Denzin y Lincoln (2010), Lincoln y Guba (2010), Kuhn (1998), Flick (2009), Estrela (1992), entre otros. Metodológicamente es una investigación teórica, exploratoria, basada en investigación bibliográfica ejecutada por fichas mescladas. Se aportaron conceptos de variados autores sobre el abordaje cualitativo y cuantitativo, sus aspectos constitutivos (ontológicos, epistemológicos, axiológicos y metodológicos), además de los paradigmas que los basan. Así, el artículo trae contribuciones que pueden ayudar a pensar la aprehensión de la realidad.Este artigo tem como temática as abordagens paradigmáticas que envolvem a pesquisa. Justifica-se como um texto voltado para os pesquisadores iniciantes e docentes que lecionem componentes curriculares relacionados à metodologia de pesquisa. Teve como objetivo geral discutir abordagens paradigmáticas referentes a investigações na Educação. E como objetivos específicos: articular conceitos relativos às abordagens metodológicas e debater especificidades paradigmáticas. Partiu de autores como Denzin e Lincoln (2010), Lincoln e Guba (2010), Kuhn (1998), Flick (2009), Estrela (1992), entre outros. Metodologicamente é uma pesquisa teórica, exploratória, embasada em pesquisa bibliográfica levantada por fichamento misto. Aportaram-se conceitos de vários autores sobre a abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa, seus aspectos constitutivos (ontológico, epistemológico, axiológico e metodológico), bem como os paradigmas que as embasam.
