ONLINE GROUP TALK: perspectives and challenges of the technique

Resumo: | The new coronavirus pandemic has caused substantial changes in people's lives, whether professionally, personally or academically. In order to maintain the restrictive measures of social distancing designed by the World Health Organization-WHO in 2020, the researchers were encouraged to create methodological strategies for the production of data for their research: those strategies, which so far would be carried out in person, went through modifications and/or adjustments to be performed virtually and/or online. That said, this academic paper aims to discuss the limits and possibilities for carrying out the online conversation group as a technique to produce research data in the educational field. This investigation necessarily implies in delimiting: a) research approach, b) digital tool; c) schedule; d) participating subjects; e) content; f) time. The result of the current study shows that the online conversation group is considered as a technique of sharing personal and professional experiences that encourages dialogue, reflection, training, etc. However, it requires from the researcher a prior planning of each action that this technique requires, to ensure the participation of people without major technical complications which make it unfeasible and/or prejudice their full participation and interaction with the group, in order to produce the data for the analysis and conclusion of the research. |

Con el fin de mantener las medidas restrictivas de distanciamiento social instituidas por la Organización Mundial de la Salud-OMS en 2020, se incentivó a los investigadores a crear estrategias metodológicas para la producción de datos a partir de sus investigaciones: que hasta entonces se realizaban de manera presencial pasaron por modificaciones y / o ajustes a realizar de forma virtual y / o online. Dicho esto, este ensayo académico tiene como objetivo discutir los límites y posibilidades de llevar a cabo la rueda de conversación online como técnica para producir datos de investigación en el ámbito educativo. Esta investigación implica necesariamente delimitar: a) enfoque de investigación, b) herramienta digital; c) tiempo; d) sujetos participantes; e) contenido; f) tiempo. El resultado del estudio en cuestión muestra que la rueda de conversación online se configura como una técnica de intercambio de experiencias personales y profesionales que fomenta el diálogo, la reflexión, la formación, entre otros. Sin embargo, requiere del investigador la planificación previa de cada acción que requiere esta técnica, para asegurar la participación de personas sin mayores complicaciones técnicas, que la hagan inviable y / o dificulten su plena participación e interacción con el grupo, con el fin de producir los datos para el análisis y conclusión de la investigación.A pandemia do novo coronavírus provocou mudanças substanciais na vida das pessoas, seja no âmbito profissional, pessoal ou acadêmico. Para manter as medidas restritivas de distanciamento social instituídas pela Organização Mundial de Saúde – OMS, no ano de 2020, os/as pesquisadores/as foram provocados a criar estratégias metodológicas para produção de dados de suas pesquisas: o que até então seria realizado de forma presencial passou por modificações e/ou adequações para ser realizado de forma virtual e/ou on-line. Posto isto, este ensaio acadêmico tem como objetivo discutir os limites e possibilidades para realização da roda de conversa on-line como técnica para produzir dados de pesquisas no campo educacional. Esta investigação implica, necessariamente, delimitar: a) abordagem de pesquisa, b) ferramenta digital; c) horário; d) sujeitos participantes; e) conteúdo; f) tempo. O resultado do estudo em questão mostra que a roda de conversa on-line se configura como uma técnica de partilhamento de experiências pessoais e profissionais que fomenta o diálogo, a reflexão, a formação, entre outras mais.
