Resumo: The theme of quality in libraries is discussed under the elements in Information Management: strategic planning and organizational culture. Discusses their importance in terms of quality management system of ISO 9001:2000 based on literature review and description of the experience reports in libraries Minister Victor Nunes Leal of the Supreme Court and Petrobras in the process of ISO certification quality. This study asks how these elements contribute to the implementation of management quality in libraries based on the requirements of the standard. And yet, as the libraries of the STF and Petrobras have used these elements of management during the process of quality certification in order to make it feasible? Through qualitative research, the results of literature review include the relationship between Information Management and Quality Management, the fundamentals of Quality Management and its application to libraries considering the components strategic planning and organizational culture. Thus, we sought to identify the relationship between the theories analyzed with the activities undertaken by the libraries of the STF and Petrobras in the process of quality certification.

Explica su importancia en términos de sistema de gestión de la calidad de la norma ISO 9001:2000 sobre la base de revisión de la literatura y la descripción de los informes de experiencia en bibliotecas Ministro Victor Nunes Leal de la Corte Suprema y Petrobras en el proceso de certificación ISO de calidad. Este estudio se pregunta cómo estos elementos contribuyen a la aplicación de gestión de la calidad en las bibliotecas sobre la base de los requisitos de la norma? Y, sin embargo, como las bibliotecas de la STF y Petrobras han utilizado estos elementos de la gestión durante el proceso de certificación de calidad con el fin de hacer factible? A través de la investigación cualitativa, los resultados de la revisión de la literatura incluyen la relación entre Gestión de la Información y Gestión de la Calidad, los fundamentos de la Gestión de la Calidad y su aplicación a las bibliotecas teniendo en cuenta la planificación estratégica y los componentes de la cultura organizacional. Por lo tanto, se buscó identificar la relación entre las teorías analizadas con las actividades realizadas por las bibliotecas de la STF y Petrobras en el proceso de certificación de calidad.O tema qualidade em bibliotecas é analisado sob os elementos em Gestão da Informação: planejamento estratégico e cultura organizacional. Discute sua importância no plano do sistema de gestão da qualidade da NBR ISO 9001:2000 com base na revisão de literatura e na descrição dos relatos de experiência nas bibliotecas Ministro Victor Nunes Leal do Supremo Tribunal Federal e da Petrobras durante o processo de certificação ISO de qualidade. Esse estudo questiona como esses elementos de gestão contribuem à implantação da qualidade em bibliotecas com base nos requisitos da norma? E ainda, como as bibliotecas do STF e da Petrobras empregaram esses elementos de gestão durante o processo de certificação de qualidade de modo a torná-lo exeqüível? Mediante pesquisa qualitativa, os resultados de revisão de literatura contemplam a relação entre Gestão da Informação e Gestão pela Qualidade, os fundamentos da Gestão pela Qualidade e sua aplicação às bibliotecas considerando os componentes planejamento estratégico e cultura organizacional.
