Environmental Education: contemporary trends and hope in facing social and environmental problems

Resumo: This article aims to analyze the repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic crisis and conservative policies on Environmental Education currently. Critical arguments, therefore, deal with the Covid-19 pandemic crisis, the socio-environmental crisis and the movement of conservative Public Policies in the Environmental Education. The role of the Research Group on Environmental Education, Public Policies and Social Management of Territories (GEPET) in the defense of Environmental Education and the emphasis on the State's interests, in relation to Environmental Education policies, are the references that guide the investigation. The study used Content Analysis based on Bardin (2016), to understand categories under investigation. Thus, dialogues were established with Pinto (1979), Lima (2004), Sorrentino (2005), Layrargues (2012), Loureiro (2012), Saito (2012), Velasco (2012), Mutim (2018), among others. This text concludes that reflection and action on the paths that need to be taken by Public, Policies, and education in the socio-environmental field during the pandemic crisis are important for the organization and planning of the post-pandemic and in order to resolve contemporary socio-environmental conflicts.

Los argumentos críticos son, por tanto, en torno a la crisis pandémica del Covid-19, la crisis socioambiental y el movimiento de políticas públicas conservadoras de Educación Ambiental en la situación actual. El papel del Grupo de Investigación en Educación Ambiental, Políticas Públicas y Gestión Social de los Territorios (Gepet), en la defensa de la Educación Ambiental y el énfasis en los intereses del Estado con relación a las políticas de Educación Ambiental son los referentes que orientan la investigación. El estudio utilizó Análisis de Contenido en diálogo con Bardin (2016) para comprender las categorías investigadas. Otros diálogos se establecieron con Pinto (1979), Lima (2004), Sorrentino (2005), Layrargues (2012), Loureiro (2012), Saito (2012), Velasco (2012), Mutim (2018) y entre otros. Se concluye que la reflexión y la acción sobre los caminos que deben tomar las políticas y la educación en el campo socioambiental durante la pandemia son importantes para la organización y planificación de la pospandémica, con miras a la resolución de los problemas socioambientales contemporáneos. Conflictos ambientales.Este artigo visa analisar as repercussões da crise da pandemia da Covid-19 e das políticas conservadoras sobre as políticas da Educação Ambiental atualmente. As argumentações críticas versam, portanto, sobre a crise da pandemia da Covid-19, a crise socioambiental e o movimento de políticas públicas conservadoras voltadas para a Educação Ambiental. A atuação do Grupo de Pesquisa em Educação Ambiental, Políticas Públicas e Gestão Social dos Territórios (Gepet) na defesa da Educação Ambiental e a ênfase nos interesses do Estado, frente às políticas de Educação Ambiental, são os referenciais orientadores da investigação. O estudo utilizou-se da Análise de Conteúdo, baseada em leitura de Bardin (2016), para a compreensão das categorias investigadas. Demais interlocuções foram estabelecidas com Pinto (1979), Lima (2004), Sorrentino (2005), Layrargues (2012), Loureiro (2012), Saito (2012), Velasco (2012),Mutim (2018), entre outros.
