Resumo: Our objective with this article is to discuss the circulation and appropriation of knowledge about Environmental Education in dissertations and theses produced in Latin America. We understand that, when linked to other areas of knowledge, knowledge about Environmental Education tends to be emptied, which makes it figure in a secondary way and serving only as an element of social context, or "scenario" for established scientific ideas and content. To carry out our study, we will analyze dissertations and theses published in the last 15 years in the countries of Honduras, Peru and Brazil, observing the strategies of articulation between the specific knowledge of a mobilized area, the knowledge produced on Environmental Education and the pedagogical processes developed for its understanding. In this way, we intend to collaborate with the discussion on how scientific knowledge is disseminated in society.

Entendemos que, al articularse con otras áreas del conocimiento, el conocimiento sobre Educación Ambiental tiende a vaciarse, lo que hace que aparezca de manera secundaria y sirviendo únicamente como elemento de contexto social, o “escenario” de ideas y contenidos científicos establecidos. Para realizar nuestro estudio, analizaremos disertaciones y tesis publicadas en los últimos 15 años en los países de Honduras, Perú y Brasil, observando las estrategias de articulación entre el saber específico de un área movilizada, el saber producido sobre Educación Ambiental y los procesos pedagógicos desarrollados para su comprensión. De esta manera, pretendemos colaborar con la discusión sobre cómo se difunde el conocimiento científico en la sociedad.Nosso objetivo com este artigo é discutir a circulação e apropriação do conhecimento sobre Educação Ambiental em dissertações e teses produzidas na América Latina. Compreendemos que os conhecimentos sobre Educação Ambiental, quando articuladas a outras áreas do saber, tendem a serem esvaziados, o que o faz figurar de modo secundário e servindo apenas como elemento de contexto social, ou “cenário”, para outras ideias e conteúdos científicos estabelecidos em outros campos do saber. Para realizar nosso estudo analisamos dissertações e teses publicadas nos últimos 15 anos nos países Honduras, Peru e Brasil, observando as estratégias de articulação entre os conhecimentos específicos de uma área mobilizada e o conhecimento produzido sobre Educação Ambiental.
