Solidarity Selective Collection and Environmental Education: from the multiplicity of (rel)actions to the possibility of socio-environmental (trans)formation: da multiplicidade de (rel)ações à possibilidade de (trans)formação socioambiental

Resumo: The work of “waste picking” for reusable and recyclable materials is ruled by public policies in Brazil. As an example, there is the Federal Decree nº 5.940/06 that states the mandatory waste segregation in all federal public organizations and its destination to associations and cooperatives of waste pickers. Among these organizations, the universities have been introducing the so-called Solidarity Selective Waste Collection. In this work, it was aimed to identify which universities are in agreement with the Decree 5.940; the number of publications related to this kind of waste collection; and to identify how socio environmental and educational actions related to the institutional programs are developed. The methodological strategy was based on bibliographic research and data sampling. The results indicate that a substantial part of the universities are in agreement with the cited Decree and the development of “praxis” based on solidarity and socio environmental divulgation and sensitization, as well as using technological artifacts applying strategies to investigate and monitor.

No âmbito destes órgãos, as universidades vêm introduzindo a chamada Coleta Seletiva Solidária. Objetivou-se verificar quais universidades estão em adequação ao referido decreto; o número de publicações acerca deste tipo de coleta e identificar como são desenvolvidas as ações socioambientais e educativas pertinentes aos programas institucionais. A estratégia metodológica envolveu pesquisa bibliográfica e coleta de dados.
