Resumo: | This qualitative work seeks, based on funk songs and their subgenres, to explain reflections related to social and environmental problems in society. Based on the theory of Environmental Education in its critical and transformational aspect, and of Popular Education based on Freire, the objective of the study is to provoke questions and reflections on how funk can serve as a basis for the promotion of critical and reflective dialogues related to issues present in the daily life of the Brazilian peripheries, experienced by people who belong to the social classes who are on the margins of society. Tracing a comparison of the reflections provoked in this study with the results obtained in other related works already published, it is concluded that even being seen with prejudiced and pejorative looks by different social groups, funk can be considered a potent tool for the development of activities and actions that aim to promote reflections and awaken the critical conscience of human beings. |

Partiendo de la teoría de la Educación Ambiental en su vertiente crítica y transformadora, y de la Educación Popular basada en Freire, el objetivo del estudio es provocar interrogantes y reflexiones sobre cómo el funk puede servir de base para la promoción de diálogos críticos y reflexivos relacionados. a cuestiones presentes en la vida cotidiana de las periferias brasileñas, vividas por personas que pertenecen a las clases sociales que se encuentran al margen de la sociedad. Haciendo una comparación de las reflexiones suscitadas en este estudio con los resultados obtenidos en otros trabajos relacionados ya publicados, se concluye que aunque visto con miradas prejuiciosas y peyorativas por diferentes grupos sociales, el funk puede ser considerado una potente herramienta para el desarrollo de actividades. y acciones que tienen como objetivo promover reflexiones y despertar la conciencia crítica de los seres humanos.O presente trabalho de cunho qualitativo busca, a partir de canções de funk e seus subgêneros, explanar reflexões relacionadas a problemas socioambientais da sociedade. Utilizando como base a teoria da Educação Ambiental em sua vertente crítica e transformadora, e da Educação Popular de base freiriana, o objetivo do estudo é provocar questionamentos e reflexões sobre como o funk pode servir de fundamento para a promoção de diálogos críticos e reflexivos relacionados a questões presentes no cotidiano das periferias brasileiras, vivenciadas por pessoas que pertencem às classes sociais que estão à margem da sociedade.
