Resumo: | The aim of the present paper was to evaluate the phycoflora composition of the Gastona River (Tucumán, Argentina) which belongs to Cyanophyta, Chlorophyta, Euglenophyta and Rhodophyta divisions. Five places of samplings were selected along the river ubicated upstream and downstream of the discharge zone of a sugarcane industry and sewage effluents in 1994, 1998 and 1999. A total of 78 taxa, was registered in which Chlorophyta were the best represented group while Cyanophyta and Euglenophyta occupied second and third places respectively. Nine species, three varieties and a form are reported for the first time in the Northwest of Argentina. In Tucumán seven species, two varieties and a taxonomic form were also recognized for the first time. |

Fitoplâncton do rio Gastona (Tucumán, Argentina): Cyanophyta, Chlorophyta, Euglenophyta y Rhodophyta.
