Resumo: The purpose of this study is the floristic characterization of forest fragments in Gravataí River Basin, offering to provide a frame the of soil, hydric resource, and regional biodiversity conservation. A total of 10 forest fragments were analyzed, resulting in a list of 249 species, with 164 genera distributed in 70 families. The predominance of large distribution woody elements and from the floristic contingent of the Paraná-Uruguay River Basin coming from the Deciduous Seasonal Forest were verified, also having species from the Atlantic Forest. The presence of some species belonging to the threatened taxa of the Rio Grande do Sul was also registered. Several appropriate species are indicated for rehabilitation of gallery forests.

Analisou-se um total de 10 fragmentos florestais, registrando-se a ocorrência de 249 espécies, distribuídas em 70 famílias e 164 gêneros. Verificou-se o predomínio de elementos arbóreos de distribuição ampla e do contingente florístico das bacias dos rios Paraná- Uruguai, ou seja, da Floresta Estacional Decidual, sendo também registradas espécies da Floresta Ombrófila Densa da encosta atlântica. Constatou-se a presença de várias espécies integrantes da lista de táxons ameaçados do Rio Grande do Sul. São indicadas espécies a serem utilizadas para recuperação das matas ciliares.Iheringia.
