Resumo: While natural resources continue to be depleted, the human population continues to grow. It urgently calls for sustainability efforts particularly from youth and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) for their dominance and potential. Hence, this study was aimed at assessing sustainability behavior and participation among college students in Indonesia. The study participants were undergraduates studying in Business School at a private university in Jakarta. An online survey on campus sustainability was employed for data collection. The gathered data were then quantitatively analysed by performing descriptive statistic, percentage, independent sample t test, and linear multiple regression. The findings in this study indicate that students tend to make sustainability efforts more often on things that are easy and inexpensive to do. Another finding is that there is no difference in sustainability behavior between groups of students based on their individual backgrounds. The last finding is the significant effect of student participation in sustainability activities on their sustainability behavior. These findings allow HEIs to navigate their resources and strategies in enhancing their impact on students’ sustainability behavior.
