Resumo: Following the growing importance of the image, the body and the rise of narcissistic traits by adolescents people on Instagram, this research has been carried out based on quantitative methods in 245 fellows and qualitative in 10 and, the most part is correlational. The main objective has been to analyze the promotion of narcissistic attitudes in the use of Instagram in late-stage adolescents (18-21) in relation to obsession with image and self-concept / self-esteem. Based on the first findings, we highlight that adolescents use Instagram daily and present non-pathological narcissistic traits, although we cannot say that narcissistic attitudes have a high index in most of the sample. We highlight a clear relationship between the obsession with the body, appearance and self-esteem in most cases. We conclude that the reasons that affect the obsession with the image and low self-esteem are linked to many aspects rooted in society, where the use of Instagram serves as a showcase of lifestyles and perfect illusions that start from a society of entertainment.
