ANESTÉSICOS USADOS EM CIRURGIAS PEDIÁTRICAS

O uso de anestésicos em pediatria faz parte das rotinas cirúrgicas. O objetivo desta revisão foi avaliar os principais anestésicos usados em pediatria. Foram incluídos artigos científicos publicados nos últimos dez anos, os quais abordaram especificamente o uso de anestésicos em cirurgias pediátricas, seus efeitos e riscos nesta população. Os anestésicos mais comumente empregados na anestesia pediátrica são propofol, etomidato, cetamina, tiopental e os gases halotano, isoflurano, desflurano, sevoflurano e óxido nitroso. Sua ação específica sobre a indução, manutenção, analgesia e sedação varia e por isso observa-se o uso de mais de um fármaco no processo de anestesia.Palavras-chave: Anestesia pediátrica. Pediatria. Anestésicos. ABSTRACTThe use of anesthetics in children part of the surgical routines. The aim of this review was to evaluate the main anesthetics used in pediatrics. Were included papers published in the last ten years, which specifically addressed the use of anesthetics in pediatric surgery, its effects and risks in this population. Anesthetics most commonly used in pediatric anesthesia are propofol, etomidate, ketamine, thiopental and gases: halothane, isoflurane, desflurane, sevoflurane and nitrous oxide. Its specific action on induction, maintenance, analgesia and sedation varies and so there has been the use of more than one drug in the anesthesia procedure.Keywords: Pediatric anesthesia.
