In this article I analyze Nietzschean proposal of elaborating a “personal language” to outreach the typical discourse of western metaphysics. After the publication of The Birth of Tragedy, the philosopher notices that, in his first work, he had criticized the philosophical tradition using the linguistic tools of that same tradition, yet remaining stuck to the conceptual web which characterizes it. Later on, through the accomplishment of Thus Spoke Zarathustra, Nietzsche considers that in this work he is successful at singing and poetizing, in which he shows an original language to communicate his own and most personal and audacious ideas. This way, to reflect on the singularity of the language used by Nietzsche, after the publication of Zarathustra, I will specifically analyze the idea of will to power, showing how this such relevant notion in his thought is presented in a non-demonstrative way, that is, in a metaphorical and literary way, establishing an artistic language as a singular style in the philosophical discourse.
