Resumo: The essay is a reading from The vision and the enigma, in Thus spoke Zarthustra, part III. It works upon the destiny (history) of the man (Zarathustra) as a destiny (history) of pain – the pain that life is while it is limit, finitude, however, the ultimate pain is that of the rebellion of pain against pain, this is, the history of man sick of himself (the West, Europe), of the spirit of revenge – the greek-christian humanism in its persisting claim for the infinite, the ilimited, for eternity, substanciality (God). Movement of hybris, wrath, melancholy. The surpassing of man and the assuming of pain, limit, finitude.
